Aprendiendo sobre «Digital Footprint» en la Universidad de Edimburgo

Durante este mes de julio estoy realizando una estancia de investigación en la Universidad de Edimburgo, con la profesora Sian Bayne y el doctor Hamish Macleod, de la Moray House School of Education.

Entre los diversos proyectos de interés que estoy conociendo, me ha llamado especialmente la atención uno de ellos que está relacionado con la identidad digital de los alumnos y la conciencia -o la falta de ella- que tienen de la huella que dejan en la red cada vez que participan, intervienen, publican,… o de forma pasiva cuando alguien más marca, menciona, reenvía,…

A partir de esta idea, han diseñado un plan de intervención con estudiantes que de forma paralela lleva aparejado un plan de investigación. This July I am visiting the University of Edimburgh as a visitor researcher in the Moray House School of Education with Sian Bayne and Hamish Macleod. I have had the opportunity to know something about some really interesting projects, one of them is relative to digital footprint. The digital footprint is relevant for students to know how they are building a digital identity and not always in a conscious way because this footprint is built with their own actions on the internet but also with the actions of other people. This idea is the beginning point to develop a project of intervention with students plus a research project to recolect relevant information.
